社会に出てナレーションしかやって来なかったワシに
新たな挑戦を勧めてくれる「神」が現れた！
が
連れて来られたのは、完全アウェーの出版記念パーティー。
誰も話しかけて来ない。周りはみんなカタギの人ばかりだ…
もう一人で水割りを何杯飲んだだろうか？？？
会場の遠くに「神」がいるのが見えた！
シッカリと目があったが、手を上げて「やぁ！」と合図を
くれただけで、ワシのところに来てくれない。
「神」も忙しいのだ！
いろんな会社のエライ人たちを引き合わせるため奔走している。
「孤立無援」
他の人たちは同じ会社の２、３人のグループで来て
内輪ネタで盛り上がっている。
ヤバい、全然は入れない！参加できない！
気がつくとワシは会場の一番後ろまで下がっていた。
どーする？このまま帰るべぇ、か？
そんな時ふとコレが目に入った！
やや、これは大きなパーティー会場の後方などにある
物販や宣伝のための特設コーナーだ。
これは、なんじゃ？
難聴の人にも聞こえる「MIRAI スピーカー」
難聴の人にとって、普通のスピーカーのアナウンスは
聞こえないことが多いという。
ただ音量を増しただけのスピーカー音では、
難聴の人の耳には届かないのだ。
ボディに特殊な曲面を使い、その曲面に音を反響させることで、
遠くでもハッキリと聞き取れるスピーカー！というものだ。
もし阪神淡路大震災、東日本大震災、といった大災害があったとき
難聴の人はどうなるのか？
雑踏の中で「高いところへ避難してください！」という声は届くのか？？？
メーカーの人らしき女性がスピーカーの説明をやっている。
２、３人の会社員風の人たちが「ふ〜ん」という感じで聞いている。
うぬぬぬ！！！
おっし、どうせやることないんだからワシが喋るワイ！
お姉さん、ちょっとマイクを！
ワシはマイクを奪い取ると、そこらへんにあったパンフレットの文章を読み始めた。
MIRAIスピーカーに乗ったワシの声は、たちまち会場の後方３分の１くらいの
範囲に響き始めた。
すると、みんなが「おや？」っと一瞬振り返った。
確かに１００人以上が大声で歓談している会場でもこのスピーカーの音は届く！
だが、
次の瞬間驚くべきことが起こった。
ワシの声があまりにもプロっぽいため
みんな「デモテープ」だと思って、またおしゃべりに戻り始めた。
そらそうだろう。プロだもん（あははゴメン）
全然トチらなかったし、
まさか生（ナマ）でナレーションつけてるとは思うまい。
しかもワシは下見せずに初見で読むのかウマイのだ。
これは、何かある！
と思ったワシは、近くにいた比較的若いサラリーマンのグループに
声をかけた。
ちょっとヤングの皆さん。あそこにあるスピーカーの試聴をしてくれませんか？
あ、実はワシ「めちゃイケ」とか「電波少年」のナレーターなんです。
勧誘と自己PRをさりげなく混ぜ込んで（テヘッ）話しかけたみた。
え、マジですか？
わぁー見てましたよ、電波少年、好感触❤️
めちゃイケ終わるんですよね？ と口々に返事をしてくれた。
やはり彼らの世代はワシの番組を知っておる。ありがたい。
ワシはMIRAIスピーカーで喋り出した。すると
うゎー、本物だあ と歓声が上がった。
ありがとう、ありがとう、
で諸君もうちょっと後ろに下がって
騒音の中でワシの声が聞こえるか聞いてみてくださいね？
ワシはまたそこらへんのパンフレットの文章を読み出した。
わぁ、すげぇ聞こえる、聞こえる、
という彼らの声がワシに聞こえる！
MIRAIスピーカーのおかげだ。
とはいえ、ワシのナレーションで人々が喜んでくれている！
何かスゴイ。すげエーぜ、これは（笑）
３０年間、いつも閉塞したスタジオでしか仕事をしてこなかったから、
生ナレに感動している人々を見ることが稀なのだ。
やった、ついに大勢のサラリーマン・経営者の人たちとの会話に成功したのだ！

実は、ワシの娘の一人が昨年から障害者になった。
脳の大手術を受けて生還し、生きているからありがたいが、
やはり障害が残ったのだ。
身体の動きも不自由だが、片耳難聴になって会話に不自由していた。
ワシも親として
このMIRAIスピーカーみたいな機械が、駅とか地下街とか、
人の多く集まるところに設置されることを、心から望んでいる者である。
実はこのスピーカーの存在は知っていたが、実機を通して声を出したのは
初めてだった。
何かエライ感じのおじさんが近づいて来て「いやあ、プロの声って凄いですね」
と声をかけて来た。このMIRAIスピーカーのメーカーの偉い方だった。
若いサラリーマンたちも、「いやー本物聞けてよかったです」と
ワシを褒めてくれた。
ダブルで褒められて、ワシの心臓はものすごくバクバクしていた。
アウェーのど真ん中で、こんなワシでも何かが出来たのだ。
ちょっと泣きそうになった。
うれしいような、はずかしい、ような
なんとも表現しづらい感情の中
会場の遠くに「神」が見えた。
神が指でOK！ってしてる……ように見えた。
